Dropped a pot of baked beans on the oven door and now the door won't close right. Tried to take the door off but not able to remove it like you would a sticks and bricks stove/oven to try and adjust the hinges. Has anyone had the same issue or any suggestions?

to Access the hinges you must remove the wood screws holding the stove in the hole......there are normally 4 of them located around the front of the oven cavity holding it to the cabinet
if you attempt to slide the oven out...you must shut the gas off from outside and leak test all fittings prior to putting the oven back in operation immediately after completing the repair!!!
you will want to check and see if the door is bent in the hinging area or the cavity and either straiten or replace..

Thanks Mike,
I saw those screws and was hoping I wouldn't have to take them out but will remove them to see if I can take the door off and get a good look at the hinges to see if I can straighten them, there doesn't seem to be any damage to the door it self so hopefully I can straighten the hinges and all will be well.
Again thanks for your info.

Pam.... once you remove the screws holding it in the cabinet it will slide right out.....if you have an egg crate and a couple blocks of wood or your tire levelers block the oven up so it is stable and you wont have to pull it all the way out..
again.....be careful not to stress or pull real hard on the gas line and always do a soap test when finished and check for leaks......windex or a spray cleaner will work or take the sink sponge add a liberal amount of dish soap and water and saturate the connections......I would prefer to read you succeeded in your repair, and not read I helped in your demise!! ...(simple job,a little planning,a lot of common sense)
