Glad you decided to join the forum. Lots of friendly folks here that will be more that willing to answer any questions about RVs and Rving that you have.
I see you're from Virginia Beach. We have a son that lives there and we usually get out there a couple times a year. Maybe we can make a connection sometime.
The Rally would be a great place to learn all about RVing. Even if you don't want to go Full-time, you'll learn a lot that will help you in your travels.

Good morning folks. We're new here. While we have always loved the camping lifestyle, we are brand new to RVing. After weighing the pros and cons of pop-ups, travel trailers, and motorhomes, we decided that a travel trailer would suit us best, and purchased a used 26' Kodiak travel trailer this past January. We've spent a lot of time reading, researching, and trying to learn everything we can about travel trailers and RVing in general. So far, we've had 2 successful weekend outings with our trailer, staying pretty close to our own area. We are planning our 3rd trip soon, venturing out a little farther from home. We've been looking around this site and we're excited to learn more here. We even hope to be able to participate in the fall 2014 rally too!

Sandy and Michael,
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. As mentioned, you will find this a good source for information as the folks here have loads of experience with just about any kind of RV.
While Jo and I have been "camping" with both trailers and tents since about 1976, we are now officially "old" and prefer the comforts of a better RV. When "camping," if we saw a big RV, we tended to make the comment that "those folks didn't leave home; they took home with them." Well, now we are in that category. While I might go the tent route on occasion in the future, it will have to be with a cot instead of sleeping on the ground.
Glad to have you as part of the family. We look forward to your questions and comments.
