Ok.....so I ended up in an area (Kennebunkport Maine) Where Campgrounds & parks are Extremely High and at a Premium.....
I didnt want to pay 60.00 to just lay my head down and move on ,and the law enforcement here must have Family that owns these campgrounds because Three times when I pulled over to shop or stretch I got the "You will have to move along" Ritual. Then the Idea crossed my mind........I backtracked a couple miles to a closed-up old Ice cream place....backed into the lot so the coach was facing forward. in the closet I had 2 large Black and orange For sale signs...and some neon green pricing stickers!!!!!
Dressed up the windshield a little closed the curtains
and TAh Dahhh !!!!!...........Ninja Boondocking was born.........nice quite sleep with no door knocks.......very sad though , no-one stopped to look at the coach all nite(LOL)
will have to keep these for my Boondocking camouflage kit!!!

Oh, Michael, you never cease to amaze me! Only YOU would think of something like that. As long as it worked.... that's the main thing! As we all know, there's more than one way to skin a cat! (Sorry all you cat lovers... me included!) But did you really get a good nights sleep, or did you keep one eye open waiting for someone to knock?

P.S. We have the same problem here in Aussie, as a free camper (Boon docker) myself I get really XXXXX when people try to make you pay for accommodation. Particularly when I have spent a lot of money setting my rig up for Boondocking. Imagine if Motel owners started agitating to make you stay in their rooms rather than RV Parks. Wouldn't you hear the Van Park owners sequel. We are not even allowed to park in K mart etc over here. My favorite sites for just one night is the Blue Metal Hilton. Road side areas used for dumping gravel for road repair. Its usually flat and you can hide behind the mound of gravel and it cuts out all the noise. Not much of a view though but hey its free.

Very Clever: If you ever go to Plattsburgh; NY this finding a big pile of gravel or dirt would be the excellent idea. Some campground owners complained so much because RVers were staying in the shopping centers or any unused properties I believe they were in cahoots with the LEO's to ticket them and the areas were marked with no overnite parking. They started doing this in the early 90's. Some areas are not RV friendly and will escort us out when trying to stock up your groceriries and supplies by Rv.

I was surfing the boulevard the other night and remembered some of the boondocking threads. Usually when we think of boondocking at a truck stop, we think of the big chains. But, there are a ton of smaller, mom and pop, or shell and diamond shamrock truck stops that are less frequented and many times more suitable than almost anywhere else. Also some cafés have truck parking. Purchase a meal and they will ask no questions. Some of these places have acres of parking that is never full. Typically they won't be a five star resort but free is free. The truckers that frequent these places are more grassroots and usually pretty nice folks.
