I'm getting serious about finding my very own 5th wheel. As I look I'm torn between a new mid rage unit and a used higher end unit.
I can't afford the rig of my dreams right now so compromise is the name of the game.
Right now a truck is not a concern. I'm working in an RV community so I plan to have the 5er delivered or pay one of the folks with a big truck here to help me get it set up.
A couple of considerations -- I love to entertain and cook. I don't have toons of time but I'm pretty good at redecorating. i need this rig to work for me for 3-5 years and then be a good trade or resale to help me into my dream 5th wheel.
So all that being said, I'd like all you experts input on this one?
I just replied to your other posting about the Carriage. From our research the Mobile Suites are far superior to the Keystone products. This is two years newer than the Carriage for only a few thousand more. Might be a better unit. Good luck!

Carol,
The Select Suites models have been discontinued, but they are still good units. They are built on a 12" I-beam frame, but they also have the 3 1/4" walls like the Mobile and Elite Suites have. They are not as luxurious as the others, but they are still very good trailers. If it would be helpful to you, I have an electronic version (pdf file) of the 2008 DRV brochure. That will give you some more information as to the standard features of the Select Suites. If you would like me to send you a copy of that brochure, send me a private message with your e-mail address and I'll e-mail the brochure to you.

We have a 2006 TK3 Elite Suite and full timed for 4 yrs. Sold house again and are back on the road with it. We love it and find it very hard to ever trade into another line.

Judy,
Good to see you back traveling. Over on SOITC, we are known as millerjnt and we've kind of missed your post both there and here in RV Dreams. Good luck with the traveling, and if you happen to be stopping over in Oklahoma City sometime, maybe we can get together.
