Hello every one I read a lot of post on this. And I still can't pin point it.
some times it will start right up no problems. Like there's no problem . I ran for an hour and power was running the whole rv And next I hit the start button and it stalls as soon as I let my finger off the button. im going to try to use fuel in a can. To see if its the fuel pump. I was also thinking could it be the fuel tank. When I open the gas cap it releases a lot of pressure . As far as the carb dirty. it shouldn't have ran so smooth for that long? Don't know confused with this.how about the on the off switch maybe when I let off finger off the switch it . touching the turn off connector .the reason I say this is because I know I barely bumped the on off switch and it turned off. Any answers will help. Thanks Todd .

fuel should be above a 1/4 tank for genny to run if this is an onboard unit............
is the switch sloppy.....remove the switch from the panel mark wires and connections and test the switch with a multi meter set on ohms or go to radio shack and just buy a new switch

If it were diesel I would bet the genset fuel filter. Still could be.
The pressure in the tank isn't likely an issue. Do you just have the one switch?
Does the switch flash a code number that you can look up in the manual?
Primary vs secondary electrical? You know you have good primary if you have ignition ...
Wish I knew more about that gas operated unit.
Onan's troubleshooting data base may be helpful.
Good luck.

Does your generator have a low oil or low oil pressure automatic shutdown. If so, you may be releasing the switch to soon or the oil level is right at the switch level. Hope you find your problem, Jim
