I came across this little item, and I had been contemplating finding a place to hide the extra set of keys, I case I lost mine, and got locked out.
Looks like it's about $50 on Amazon. It's a key safe you can put into your tow hitch receiver. Of course, if you are actually towing, not good, but I'm not towing, and my hitch receiver is just sitting there!

I would be concerned that it might not be water proof or water resistant. Driving on wet roads will put a spray of water all around the rear of one's RV.

I got the Hitch Safe today, so here is my review: looks like it should be waterproof, except perhaps for condensation, which happens. Trying to get the clam shell packaging open wore me out, these people know security!
It was pretty easy and straight forward to put on, there are some foam washers, and I took the two largest off to fit my hitch. One word of warning! Those "silver buttons" that fit into the hitch holes.... make sure to get them in straight and push them in all the way, before pushing the slide locks back! If you don't (like me) they will seize, and it will be hard to get them back out and start all over! But once it's in, it's in, and it's all good! Fit a full set of keys, plus in there.
