Ok, found out my 5th wheel has a black water tank washout.... A place where you attach a hose and it "rinses" the black water tank clean. They also sell these 3 ft long wand looking thingy's you connect to your water hose and put it down in the toilet and that is supposed to clean out the tank.
My question, which is better???

The built-in one, since it is in the tank and can spray most, if not all, the tank. The wands try to get into the tank, but often only get a portion. If your toilet is not right above the black tank, then a wand might do very little.

I kinda figured the internal washout might be best. I just hope it'll work.

My washout seemed to do very little. Maybe its just clogged or something but I connected the hose and turned it on and it was as if the hose was capped. Hopefully yours does better.

It probably is clogged. I had that problem once when I used the wrong toilet paper. I put toilet chemicals in and when the black tank was fairly full I drove on some rough roads. That cleared the clog. When ours runs it makes noise and can be heard inside and out.

I was using an RV 2 ply but tossed that and went back to good old Scott single ply... Am going to try the washout connection this afternoon since driving mine anywhere isn't an option. Lol
