I have a 2002 Newmar Dutch Star. I have no hot water from the kitchen faucet only. The bathroom sink and shower both have hot water. I think it may be related to the bypass valve but have no idea where it would be located. Is it on the water heater?
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

go to your outside control panel and check the position of the valve marked kitchen hot water.......your bypass valve to the hot water is in the correct position if you have hot water in the bathroom...

Thanks Mike. I will check the valve when the rain stops.

normally on the drivers side compartments....one compartment will house your wet system controls ,on some coaches it will be the one where your hose connects
Just looked up Newmar....sshould be in the rear comprtments driverside....near the gate valves

Sounds like someone installed a part backwards. I am glad you tried both positions.
Edit: I wonder if the person who installed the part backwards was from the Southern Hemisphere? <grin>

Where would the outside control panel be located? Thank you.

Hi Mike:
I found the outside control panel for the water and grey and black tanks. There is no valve marked "kitchen hot water." Thanks!

Our Dutch Star is of a different year, but there is no separate valve for the kitchen in ours. We have two lines coming into our kitchen faucet, one for hot and one for cold and neither has a shut off. Could your faucet have a problem?

Hi Bill:
The kitchen faucet works fine. How would I diagnose if it had a problem?
Thank you.

turn the faucet lever to hot only.....does the pressure drop or water stop?..... the bypass valve on the ho****er tank only stops water from going into the tank from the main feed...its purpose is to be able to winterize the coach without having to fill the hot watertank with 6+gallons of antifreeze the bypass would have to be in the open position to get hot water in the bathroom........wish I was there to look for you ....your hot water from the sink goes directly to the output side of the heater ....there should be a Tee there with one line going to the bath and one forward to the sink

Thanks Mike and Bill:
I fixed it. I now have hot water in the kitchen faucet. The hot water comes when the faucet is tilted towards the cold side...not sure why but at least I have hot water.
