Been a member since before we started full timing. Been to several to their parks - Livingston; Congress AZ; Benson AZ, Tennessee, Alabama. All good values. Some better than others as some are friendlier. Each have their own personalities I guess.
Went to their Escapade in MO last year. Was okay, just okay. Would go to other one only if it was in a location we would be traveling through.
The club is well worth the cost. Great magazine.

We belong to the club and joined when we first started RVing. We also have been to several of their parks. We have never been to 'BootCamp' though. Joining is worth the price.

We belonged for a year and stayed at The Ranch in New Mexico for a week. They don't have that many parks in areas we plan to be so we didn't renew. We just didn't see the value. We get much more use from our Passport America membership.

We belong, mostly for the benefit of the parks. Some not worth the stop, some great. It really depends. Am I the only one who notices a lot of very nice people on their forum but quite a few cranks as well?
Not nearly as nice as this one!

We've been members since we began full-timing in 2007. The best thing about this club for us is that it gives you the ability to join the Day's End Directory which has the biggest database of boondocking sites anywhere. We use that database as our travel guide.
The other awesome thing for us is their magazine. I confess, I write a lot of articles for them, but even before I started writing for them I read every issue cover to cover.
Lastly, they have a program for elderly RVers that have hung up their keys for good... don't know much about it but it sounds like a great thing for full-timers.

Emily and Mark - yup, saw your article in the latest issue.
About their forum - I used to go on it but like Sherry I found lots of really negative and snarky comments. Mostly gave up on it. Might stop by once a year or so.

Escapees is the only club I encourage people to join and it has little to do with the campgrounds. We are lifetime members and have worked a couple Escapades and I had a volunteer position for a few years. The forum allows anyone to join and has some negative people, including some jaded ones. The snipe among themselves a lot, but behind the scenes many of those sniping know and like each other. We are good friends with one of the more negative ones and away from the forum she is great.

We also joined before full timing and the first trip out of our area we made was to their big rally, the Escapade. We did their full timers boot camp and gained a wealth of knowledge that made our traveling a whole lot easier. We also met a lot of great people who also taught us many things we needed to know. They seem to be a very friendly organization. Though now we are not very active in that group we will always be members. We have used a couple of their parks and will probably use more of them along the way.

If you are a novice RVer then the bootcamp is well worth going to. It is oriented to the novice. It covers basic stuff. I'm not saying an experienced person could not learn anything, but it is oriented to the novice.
The Escapees forum, IMO, is the best forum available for technical RV-related matters. You are more likely to learn correct information there than elsewhere.
I often hear about the "snarkey" comments there....really, if you frequent Internet forums the Escapees forum has less of that than almost anywhere else. Except probably here. It is a simple matter to just ignore them. And if you do not like the postings of certain people there is provision in the forum to block them - so you will never even know they posted.
