My name is Cindi and my husband is Andy. I am a Pediatric Registered Nurse and my husband is a building contractor by trade. We had been planning on hitting the road in January of 2015 to full-time with me working as a traveling nurse and Andy finding work when needed. Unfortunately in November of 2012 Andy's friend who he was in business with decided he didn't want to be in business with him anymore. Andy has been unsuccessfully looking for work since than so we decided to move our plans up to start fulltiming in August of this year. Put our house up for sale, sold it, bought a 2012 Journey and than in MArch of this year (before we could close), our house caught fire! Plans on hold until we can rebuild and get house closed. Good news is buyers are sticking with us, bad news it just prolongs things.
New plan: Andy is going to Idaho to help his cousin build a log cabin for the summer while CIndi stays behind to finish several projects at work and let her nurses have vacations and can get the house closed on, move into RV close to my job, attend RV Dreams Rally in NC in the fall, give notice at work, spend Thanksgiving with family here in Florida, watch our son hopefully graduate from USF in December and than hit the road....
I have been reading on this site daily and love all of the helpful information I have found. Feel like I already know a lot of you. Looking forward to meeting people in our journeys....God bless you all!

Welcome Cindi and Andy! Isn't that just the way things go some days...
Sounds like you guys will be good RVers... First requirement seems to be roll with the punches.
Looking forward to meeting you all on the road.

Cindi and Andy,
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. I would venture a guess that your circumstances may be the worst of all for folks that have had issues with trying to go full-time RV'ing. I certainly wouldn't look forward to the issue of rebuilding a home.
Good luck with getting all the ducks in a row and getting them to "quack" in harmony.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask them as we all tend to learn from each other.

Hi Cindi and Andy,
Welcome to the forum. You both have excellent skills for working on the road. You really had some setbacks, sorry but the good news is that you get to leave sooner.
The Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood & Sedona, AZ hires temporary nurses regularly. They are quality oriented and great nurses there.
Rolling with the punches as Carol says is necessary. Just ask us two day full timers! 😂
