I currently have a NY CDL, when the DW retires we're looking at setting up domicile in S.D. Has anyone changed over their CDL to a SD CDL, and what was required i.e. written/road test?

I tried to find to information you needed on-line and could not find anything out for you. Sorry. However you will have to call the SD DPS and find out what you will need to do. I do know that if you need to take a road test then you will have to use a third party tester as that is how SD does it. They have a list on line as to whom they allow to give the test and some do haveĀ rigs you can rent to take road test. Hope this helps.

Or you could call Americas Mailbox in Box Elder and ask them. They are very helpful and knowledgable.
