Hi there. I hope everyone is doing fine and looking forward to the warmth and blooms of Spring! My husband is a flooring contractor and due to his demanding work schedule, we're weekend warriors in the mild seasons. However in the summer, we take a couple weeks to go somewhere and just get away. We have a 2001 - 34' Class A Four Winds Hurricane with one slideout. When our "Boop Mobile" as we lovingly christened her, came into our life, she had only 11000 mi. on her. She was a baby, 4 yrs old. She's taken us to a lot of places on the East Coast, and was our home on wheels when we visted our son and family at Camp Lejeune, NC. I can't imagine life without her. Before my mother passed away, we took her out a few times and she was delighted. She sat in her wheelchair with her oxygen at a safe distance from the campfire with a smile on her face that will remain with me forever. My mom never had any adventures before our RV came along. I'm glad we were able to give her that. What awsesome memories to hold onto when I'm missing her so much. We've taken our family and close friends out and introduced our grandchildren to RVing and they look forward to going out each summer with us. We have a new grandson and we can't wait until he's big enough to appreciate our favorite pasttime as well. We've talked about going full timing some day and seeing all the National landmarks...definitely on our Bucket List. We lost our home to foreclosure a couple years ago due to work slowing down and the ailing economy. But we don't let that keep us down. I personally am a survivor and I'm too stubborn to give up and throw in the towel. We're renting a place in the Amish countryside and I still get such a kick out of seeing the buggies roll by, tho I've seen them a hundred times or more. Before I leave this world, I want to make new memories doing what I enjoy. RVing is such a big part of that and I intend to take advantage of it. After all, you only live once!

Your last statement: You only live once; is the most important if one is to take up the RVing lifestyle. I believe it take some gypsy; vagabond blood; hence my signature of "Irishrover" on another RV forum. Circumstances change and we have to accept to just roll with the flow or live in a sad state of mind. I celebrated one year of my NEW LIFE since my heart attack on March 30th. Speaking of acceptance; changed my diet (still working on it); medication for the rest of my life; and still wanting to try to be able to work. it slowed me down.
Back to you: Welcome to the RV familiy!!! Their are many rvers in this forum who will be more than happy to help you enter the world of full-time rving. Have questions Ask and more than likely some will have greet suggestions.

TY Lucky Mike. Funny...my husband's name is Mike and we have a B/W Husky named Indy. He recently lost his tail to cancer but he's just as beautiful as ever. He's old now and has a hard time sitting and standing. He gets upset if he can't sleep in our bdrm at nite so my husband has to walk behind him and help him most of the way up. My heart will be broken when he passes away. He has graced our lives with joy for so many years. He still has quite a bit of life left so we try to give him quality of life while he's still with us. Lost in the woods, huh? Sounds marvelous. I'm sure you must see so much wildlife. I'd be in Heaven. I carry my digital camera with me wherever i go and I'm always ready to shoot a pic of the deer and rabbits and any other creatures. I enjoy going out in our RV so much. Thanks again for the warm reception.

Angela,
Welcome to the RV Dreams forums. You will find this site to be a good source for information because many of the participants here have a lot of knowledge and experience with RV's. Feel free to ask any questions that may come to mind as there are no dumb questions, but there are a few smart-alecky responders.
