Anxiety attack?? Just realized I'm only going to have 9 or 10 days to pack the 5'ver!

I've been so focused on getting rid of stuff, painting, getting rid of stuff, working my full time job and getting through Dale's first 2 art shows of the year that I had really hadn't taken the time to consider the packing of the 5ver. We're so looking forward to the middle of April when he'll be returning from OK with our "new to us" DRV Mobile Suites that I really hadn't thought about the fact that he will get home on the 15th or 16th and we have to be on the road the 25th for his 3rd art show of the year. And oh yeah, I have a special friend who is a work colleague who is flying into Seattle the day we're leaving to visit her grandparents and I promised to pick her and her son up at the airport.
Yikes, we have boxes of stuff in storage that we took out of our TT that we need to sort through as we load the 5'ver to make sure we still want it. We sold all our dishes so the dishes from the TT are in the house being used on a daily basis, not to mention the fact that he thinks he'll have time to build out his mini workshop in what was the washer/dryer area.
9-10 days to load, arrange, re-arrange and be ready for FT life on the road and put our house on the market as we leave town??? This is giving new meaning to Sleepless in Seattle

We started the full time life with some boxes in the trailer, unpacked and/or organized. It didn't kill us.
Have faith in yourself, you WILL get through this, one box at a time.

I agree with Mike... You will be ready in plenty of time! Besides, you can always keep rerranging as you go down the road. Things rarely end up in the right place on the first go round!

That is WAY more than enough time. It does not have to be perfect. You refine many times as you go.... RELAX!!!

What??? You're "letting" him build a mini workshop IN your home??? That's a new one to me! Just kidding, that's a very creative idea.
Paper plates for final meals, load the dishes. Bet you're almost done by now! Love everyone's response to relax, you can always redo it.
Watch for the same stress from us in one month!
Hope to see you on the road!

Sherry - there's not "letting" him build a mini workshop, he needs it to work. Besides, we bought this specific floorplan for the built in desk that is MY work area, we will each have our own little space in trailer. I'm just trying to figure out how in the 10 day period when we have the trailer at the house before we leave for his next art show to get everything done. It's going to be a whirlwind time for us.

Ruth,
We've been on the road for 7 months and we are still rearranging things. Seems like a weekly thing! We're getting it more refined each time.

Have to agree with other responses, just breathe.....1,2,3!! We have been living full-time for over 7 months now and we have 'moved' things around so many times, we thought we had brought only things we couldn't live without into the RV, but already, some of those items are 'outahere'!! I already know that some of the stuff in the higher cupboards (that I cannot reach) we haven't used, will be going too before we go on the road. It's just a much simpler lifestyle, we even got the RV weighed before our FL trip last week and guess what? We are underweight!! Never thought that would happen
Relax and enjoy all the changes, in a few months you will be looking back and wondering why you were ever worried! huggs kim x

OMG, I am in the up in the middle of the night grumpy stage, panicking and organizing house. We leave in one month and one week! Tomorrow we drive to Phoenix to sign papers on our new 5th wheel (we hope, last time we walked out as final papers were NOT what salesperson told us). That's after our early morning dental appts. 2 hours each way to Phoenix. Our company that has been here over a month leaves in the am. First of four garage sales held last weekend, 3 more to go! Jesse flies to SD on Monday, returning Friday to get DL, residency and visit his brother who loves there. Pick up new rig the following week. Need to interview and hire realtor to sell house. 1st work camping job starts in Oregon 5/10.
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

Sherry - you can do it!! I'm realizing that packing the 5'ver for the first trip will be easy compared to the final flurry of activity to get the house on the market. Dale leaves Apr 5 to drive to OK to pick up the 5ver, I'm holding a garage sale the next weekend. Between now and when he leaves we're still painting, recaulking one bathroom, sorting through stuff, getting flooring replaced next week in 2 rooms, rearranging furniture based on the recommendation of the house stager. Somehow everything seems to be taking more time than we thought it would. Every time I cross something off our "to do" list, 3 more things appear.

We have been living in our rig full time for a month now and still have Post-It Notes on all our drawers and cupboards. Yes, rearranging and refining every day....and loving every minute of it. Retire in 68 days from today!

Allen & Donna - 68 days!! So excited for you guys and your upcoming travels.
I know we'll be rearranging for some time to come, not too worried about that. I'm just feeling frazzled trying to get the house ready to sell and get rid of all the "stuff". Repainting the entire inside of the house has been such a huge chore but it has helped us clean out several cabinets and closets.
Sherry - will you and Jesse be in Crater Lake all summer?

NWescapee, we will be there from 5/10 thru 9/10 - except for side excursions. My understanding of the job is that it's two days on/two off. Our other understandings s that our assignment the first two weeks there is to explore the area so we can advise guests on scenic routes, hikes and must-sees. My kind of work!!! My dad will be 98 in June and just went into assisted living so there will likely be some flights back to AZ. (All that explanation just because we hope we will be able to see you there.)
Ann, hope the cornbread was good, bet you're still eating leftovers!

Sherry - we'll be heading south into CA from ID in late August, will have to see if we can plan a stop on the way through OR. We have a niece near Medford and a great nephew that we need to stop and visit, maybe attend one of the great nephew's baseball games. We'll be in touch much later in the summer after we figure out those travel plans, I just know right now we have an art show in Couer d'Alene ID the first weekend in August, an art show in Mountain View CA the second weekend in September, so our path from one point to the other is totally up in the air right now and somewhat dependent on when the house sells. It's been 8 years since we visited Crater Lake with our old Aliner, wow, totally different rig to be pulling this time, not sure the National Park Campground will accomodate our new size. Sure would be fun to see you and Jesse - if not in OR - we'll probably be in AZ next winter!!

We plan (but not too much) to be in AZ next winter, since we love this state so much! Hopefully next winter will be milder. Probably will be So Cal next Christmas but AZ after that! We'll find a way and meet up!
