And everyone with a current phone, Mifi or USB modem, will need to upgrade to a new unit to take advantage of it. I am very glad I didn't update my Verizon LTE phone or my USB modem in the last few months.
I suspect that Maximum Signal will have amplifiers supporting those frequencies when the FCC finally starts approving them.

WE will indeed . Our new amplifiers will be penta band ( 5 frequencies ) 700 , 800 , 1700 , 1900 & 2100 The delay in approvals while the new rules were being formulated by the FCC was a blessing . It allowed us to add 1700 & 2100 to our new amplifiers. Everything is moving forward very quickly for us now.

This means I will delay upgrading to 4G until new USB modems are available and Cradlepoint updates their routers to accept them (if necessary) Verizon claims they will have phones and modems available mid year.

Max,
I noted in the article that you linked to that Verizon would begin with covering 30%, which I presume is "area of service" with a coverage of 70% within 7 years. Am I presuming right on what the 30 and 70 is dealing with, and do you happen to know what areas will first get that coverage?

I have no idea where they plan to start . We were just told if you are going to put out a new amplifier and you want it to be usefull ! it has to cover these bands
