I feel a little silly asking this because on some level I should know the answer but don't.
We are like "Lucky Mike" sitting here and enjoying the deep cold of the North East. My question is this; with temperatures in the single numbers is it okay to run the refrigerator in the RV or would doing so in these cold temps damage the equipment? We are planning a trip and want to start packing the perishables.
Thanks!
Mike

you can run the fridge but do not use the freezer until the room temp is above 45.......the thermostat is designed to operate off refrigeration temps and normally shuts the process down between 36 and 42....if your room temp is near this it causes the fridge not to run the cooling process and so the freezer will warm up......there is no freezer thermostat so durring low temps it works incorrectly..
you are in Mass(westfield I Believe) so if your going south it is 12 hrs to Richmond Va plus stop time.....you should be good with food storage or if your going to pull over for the nite and turn the heat on turn the gas on for the fridge and you should get another 8 hrs of travel !!!!
