I would like to encourage RV-Dreamers before or after the Quartzsite Rally to come visit Organ Pipe Cactus National Mounument. This National Park is a gem that should not be missed. The news media has done great harm to all areas that are on the boarder. Yes there are people who traverse the boarder illegaly for work and some are bad guys as well, but they have no interest to confront us as this brings attension to them. So this park is much safer than the rest of the country.
The camping area is very large and is first come w/208 dry camping sites and is never full. Has dump station and water. Big rigs welcome, all sites are pull thru, genset hrs. 8-10 & 4-6. Good ranger programs to take in. And don't miss the 21 mile Ajo Mountain drive in the park. I would alow 4 days or more on your first visit. The camp ground has a 21 day limit at $12.00/$6.00 Golden Age per day.
I am presently a volunteer here for 90 days. Have been fulltiming for 6+ years with this being my first year of experiancing some workamping. Been following Howard and Linda since all most there conception of RV-Dream that I learned of from RV.NET. Am a advid dry camper and strongly encourage all to learn how to dry camp.

Thanks for the invite Joel! We might just have to do that after the rally.

We have also been wondering just where we will be going after the rally. We will certainly keep that in mind.

Sounds like a nice place! We won't be at the rally but all of these ideas are going on my 'places to go' list. Thanks!

I've met 3-4 people on the road this month raving about the place. Got to add it to the list. :)
