I was at Walmart yesterday when I felt the truck rock. I got out to see what had happened when low and behold there was a pickup truck tight against the rear bumper of my truck. I uttered the words " What the H#!!" but not yelling just at normal voice level kinda just saying to my self. Then I ask what was wrong and the man in the other truck he stated that he did it to get me to move he and that I was just parked there in the lane and needed to move. I stated that I was waiting for a car to exit a parking spot and he proceeded to back up about ten inches. The next thing I know he hits the truck again. Now I was hot under the collar and just cursing up a storm and questioning his state of mind. I informed him that I was calling the cops. After he did his shopping I was still out side waiting for the cops. I informed him that the I called the cops, that I gave his plate number to the cops and not to worry. He circled the parking lot. Then parked a little ways from my truck and when the cops showed up I proceeded to tell them what had happened. He began to tell his story and stated that he did not mean to hit my truck the second time. I stated that I did not matter what he did was still uncalled for. I was free to go about my business and since there was no damage to my truck he got a citation for exactly what I do not know. I forgot to mention that he was from New Hampshire so I am thinking that he was not exactly a good ambassador for them lmao.

Reminds me of a time during the winter when I was stopped at an intersection; had a 1963 Ford Galaxy. The roads were slick with icy patches and a car had slid up behind us and slightly bumped into the Ford's rear bumper. No damage or so we thought to either vehicle so we thought; two days later the transmission started slipping. The fluid was low and topped it off which did not help. a week or so later had to take it out and have it rebuilt. Don't know if the bump was the cause or merely coincidence.
I know what this guy did was very rude and inconsiderate; but I don't believe I would have confronted him the third time; would have let the police take care of it.

Actually, it might be that you were somewhat lucky. Seeing that Jo and I work for a law enforcement agency, we hear of a lot of situations where such an event has escalated into a deadly encounter.
I think you did well in your actions in informing the other driver that you were calling the police. That way, if he is one to "escalate" a situation, he might choose to leave the area instead of facing the authorities, thus leaving you alone as well.

I know what you are saying WildBill, some people just show a total lack of respect for other people and their property, I had an episode years ago it was the first summer when I put my '57 Chevy Belair on the road I was around 19 so my car was my baby and money wasn't exactly filling my pockets then , I was driving down the road and this guy turned into me ,I pull over and he kept going....well needless to say it was on, I slam the trans into 1st and lit the tires up (500 HP will do that) caught up to him and forced him to the side of the road, I was more than furious when I hopped out of the car and yanked this guy out of the car, grabbed his keys and waited for the Police, needless to say I knew this officer ( he was a car guy and pulled me over more than once to look at the what I had done on the car) this guy was lying thru his teeth and I had a friend with me to back me up .so needless to say this guy got lots of tickets, I got the car repaired after fighting with his insurance company and all was ok but the point is we all work hard for what we have ,and to have people show no respect for other peoples property is just infuriating

I forgot to include that this man was in his late sixties and parked in a handicapped spot right off the end of my truck before he entered the store. I was not all too worried about him getting out of his truck or running me over. I might have had him more afraid of me than I was of him. after all I was really mad after the second hit. I just hope that when I reach that age I have the same amount of common sense that I have now.
Mike once he got out of his truck and I saw all of him I was more concerned that I would put him in the ER if I yelled at him and have to deal with his children or grandchildern lol.

Regardless of the age of the nutjob acting like that, it is a scary event. You just never know. This past summer we were leaving a campground after quiet hours. Started diesel truck to back up to hitch. Got out to check everything and as I walked back to truck a wild looking guy who was at least 75 & frail looking ran up to me screaming about the noise from my truck. I told him to calm down. I saw him start to throw a punch & stepped aside. I told him to think hard about his next move. He went back to his site & we stopped at the office to report him. In 40 years of RV travel never had anything like that happen. I'm 65 & almost had my first geezer rumble! (Lol).
