For those interested in such things here are some links to our new RV hauler.
It is a 2009 Volvo 780 with I Shift transmission. This is a 2-pedal setup - no clutch. The truck has a 77" condo with workstation (dinette to RVers), a Webasto heater for heat when the truck is not running, a refrigerator, microwave, 3000 watt inverter, shore power, PressurePro came with it.
For an engine it is the Volvo D16 (16 liter) set at 535hp/2000 lb/ft of torque. So it will pull :)
The truck has been singled in preparation for the hauler body that will allow us to carry a smart car on deck. The hauler body will be built in TX by Larry Herrrin.
You can see videos of the entire build process here. There are about 25 videos, showing the aquisition process, and the singling, etc. Mostly for those curious about these trucks. If you are looking for a turnkey truck like mine then this is the best place to find one. IMO.
