I notice that no one is talking about Teton any more. Although they seem to have an active website, the copyright date is until 2010. Is it safe to assume they've gone out of business? If not, how would their line compare to the DRV and New Horizons?

Cheryl,
Yes, the Teton's went out of business. If I remember what I was told correctly, DRV might have even built Teton's last units for them. It may be that those were some that had already been ordered, so Teton stepped up to have someone else build those for their customers.
I know that when Carriage went out of business, there was at least one customer with a coach on order that never got his built.
Teton's had a good reputation for quality, but I don't know what led to their demise.

cheryl, I probably know less than most about the Teton but have friends with one and it is by far the nicest fifth wheels I have seen. They have been fulltiming for many years and had quite a few trailers. They watched it being built and said it is the best they have owned. There were 8 of us in it one night visiting and plenty of room for all. I asked a lot of questions about it and they said the only thing they had done to it was a spot repainted on one of the sides.

Have a friend who bought a 1992 and is very satisfied with it. I don't think it has a slide but I've been in it and it looks very large and comfortable. Think it is a 38' Model.

You might want to do a search for "teton owners" I know a lot of manufacturers have gone out of business in the last few years, we have an Alfa, they have an owners group that helps members find parts etc. They have even opened a new place that a few of the old employees started to do service/repairs on Alfas. We were a little worried about buying an RV that is no longer being built, but after researching and finding such a big support network, we are happy that we did.

outside of the label on any coach, all parts are generic in nature and available on the market or upgradable.....a common mistake in the RV industry after warranty is that most owners do not know this.
Think about it.......I have a Friend in Mass. , He has 2 Stanley Steamers and a couple of model T's........yet he still has access to parts for them and they run like new!!!
most parts you need are only for the Drive train......if you know the type of chassis & engine your local part store has them.....all the rest of the coach is simple fabrication...
