Danielle and I have been towing with an HDT (Heavy Duty Truck, aka a semi truck) for the last 9+ years. Our truck is a Volvo 610 with a custom hauler body on it. It is a dream to drive and travel in.
Because we now own a smart car and want to carry that "piggyback" on the truck bed, instead of towing doubles, we decide to build another truck. This time it is a Volvo 780, D16 engine, 535 hp (turned down to 515hp), and I Shift transmission. This will be turned into our "ultimate RV hauler" by Gregg Shields. You can watch the conversion process here. There is a step-by-step series of videos on converting our truck from a line-hual tractor to an RV hauler.
The body will be completed by Larry Herrin in Kilgore TX in March.

There are no drawings. But I do have a sample of another bed that is similar. I'll maybe post that.
