Outside of an original copy of Howard and Linda's personal RV travel diary...........what are the most sought after or needed Books or Apps needed to function properly while on the road.......I figure we all have at least one........
I spend alot of time gleaning through different forums and sites and for fulltiming you would think that there would be a standard starter package of must have maps....basics....android or CD / PC apps to get up and running or increase the learning curve all with easy access to the new class RVers
Im interested to see the results from your input.....

I use Google Maps a lot on my iPhone. Mostly for navigation and traffic but once in a while I will use it just like a map from AAA to look up an area and get familiar with what is there and how the roads are setup.
www.rvparksreview.com to pick a spot to stay.
Safari/ Google to do internet research
iHandy level to check level and plumb from time to time
Netflix and HBO go for movies and tv shows to kill time when I have WiFi access
iHeart radio to listen to my favorite radio programs
RedLaser to compare prices
SlingPlayer to watch what is plying or recorded on my Sat Box/DVR
Various games to kill time.... iSlots Plus, Vegas Poker, Angry Birds, Black jack and more...

I use Allstays Camp and RV app a lot to find rv sites, rest stops, truck stops, etc.
Also google maps or apples map in satillite mode to scope out the terrain ahead or the campround itself.
Other apps I use are several weather ones, always good to know the weather!! GasBuddy, RV Checklist, Trip Advisor, Coverage (for finding cell coverage area) Oh Ranger park finder(has info on all the state and national parks.

The apps we depend on in our travels include (these are all iPhone/iPad apps):
Campground finders: CampWhere (only lists public campgrounds - state, national, county, city, ACOE) AllStays RVParking Passport America
Navigation: Apple maps Google maps CoPilot USA
Travel cool stuff: Everplaces (helps you mark interesting stuff, and invitations to visit folks in your travels) Dark Sky (lets you know the rain forecast very locally for the next hour or so) Gas Buddy (find cheapest fuel!) Gluten Free Finder (Yelp for GF places) Road Trip (fuel, mileage and maintenance logging)
Coverage? * (Overlays cell phone coverage maps for the 4 major US carriers) State Lines * (Tracks over 50+ state laws that affect travelers as they move across state laws - speed limits, cell/txting laws, overnighting in rest areas, towing laws, smoking bans, buying beer in the grocery store, etc.)
* Disclaimer: these are apps we wrote - created by RVers for RVers :)

I use Google maps and RV Park reviews a lot. Bought a Galaxy a few months ago and have spent most of my time on it learning to navigate so my apps are some gaming and Slacker radio. I do my reading on a basic Kindle and love it. My all time favorite that pertains to being on the road full time? A copy of RVers FRIEND! Purchased in a truck stop and has been used constantly while traveling. It can followed along the route and finding a place for fuel and overnight was made a whole lot easier. I could give up the others but with this there is a place to park, stay, fuel, and even unhitch of you want to drive around and look at the rv parks in the area. Priceless for me!
