This is Something like the "OLD GRAY MARE". And I am not like I used to be. Tried to climb the roof rack ladder this AM, got to the top and could not position my leg up to boost myself up on the roof of the RV. I finally got a capacitor for the roof A/C and was going to install it and hope for the best. Man; this sure POed me; guess this is another irritation I'll have to accept along with not being able to ride my bicycle as far.
Geesh! I realize I am not a kid anymore; but there are a few things I need to do and it is a liitle late in life to make another career choice. This is discouraging if not a bit depressing; but will have to accept it and move forward. I injured my back in 1985 and had to downsize to working on smaller vehicles; finally got used to that.
Guees I just needed to blow off a bit of steam and hopefully will feel better! Pieere

I know the feeling Pierre........What used to take an hour now takes a day, But the sun rises and in it own beauty it begins the day and Im there to see it.........and every evening as it sets nature sings out to say goodnite and again Im there to see it!!!!
Ive found the slower I go that I make less mistakes, a simple task becomes a major accomplishment.....but Didnt we decide to fulltime to get away from the rush and all the time frames that came with the mainstream any way!!!!!
Like the doctors tell me......one small step each day. Live ,Breathe , Relax ..........................................At 50 I never thought it could be like this but now at 52 and learning to live over again the lessons and basics amaze me....I rushed the first 50 ,I will live to the fullest the last of them.

After losing my sister 8 years ago at the age of 47 everything in my life has been reframed. I have not yet met you, but I have a feeling you are one stallion that is not even close to being ready to go out to pasture......G

Hang in there kiddo. ... Maybe swallow a little humble pie, take a breath and ask a young guy for some assitance. Am sure you have lots of wisdom to share that would take him years to acquire. Maybe do some bartering. .. It works for my Mom, and she'll be 80 this year. . Still full-timing! It pisses her off not to be able to do things she used to, and it does take her longer to get the things done, but she is too determined NOT to!

Ditto........I Know your feelings Pierre , The rush to move on is in all of us and the sitting part is worse than all we go thru to get to this point.
Just remember When this happened it didnt Come with a bandage that we could lift and see our wounds healing.......pushing it to hard or to fast can put you back where you started or worse.......Please listen to your body and your doctors.
After my rebuild in march (Quad Plus)....I went 2 months and all the sudden Felt like a million bucks....and 30 days later was almost back to square 1......
had to sit down and sell off all my tools and business to stop myself from pushing...........I had to sit down and realize that it was time to change ......Ive sold my coach 3 times this year( of course bought another each time , maybe I will try RV sales!!!)....each time I sold it I was looking for a way out. and would lose focus of My Dreams and goals.
After a while Ive learned to set a goal mark ,do what I can and learn from the limits I set. take the results and adjust the bar to a level that challenges me and go for it again......as long as I gain an inch and try there is no failure. I will be back out there by Spring ( my Goal)
as we get older we have less room and tolerance for change......but the reality of change is not not to replace it but to make it simpler in the method of how you do it!!!!!
We are All out here for one another sharing the Dream so many never get to try..........Hang on Brother!!!!

Tomorrow I am riding down to the VA Hospital and demand the ultra-sound so I can make a decision to return to work or eat some more humble-pie and apply for the VA homeless shelter for the winter months. Had to apply and accept food stamps (which I was totally opposed to) many people told me it was better than going without and I sure didn't want to die from starvation after being saved form dying form the Heart Attack. I will try my best to get the hospital doctors to check me out ASAP. Soon as more updates are available I will post the outcome. PIEERE

Ed.....dont forget your options for SSD/ you paid into it all your life , dont be afraid to apply for it. ask while your at the VA if it is possible to get on temporary disability , it doesnt affect your SSI and if its going to help .....Its help that you paid for!!
If the VA says your eligible and you need help filing let me Know , I just went down that road and they make it tough , Hang in there

Pieere, Good luck on your ultra sound. You remain in my thoughts and hope your healing comes quickly. Everyone needs a little help now and then and those programs you talk about are there for a reason. I would think SSD would also be available. Too bad some of us find it a lot easier to give than take sometimes. In case I wrote that wrong, or you read it differently....I mean this is the time for you to take. Mike is right too. That sun is going to come out again soon. I will have my ultrasound Nov. 6 and have been tentatively scheduled for an angioplasty and stent after that. Sky gets a little clouded over my way once in awhile too. Hang in there my cardio friend. Like the song says.....better days ahead. TC

Like I said one obstacle out of the way. Arrived at the VA Hospital in Murfreesboro TN about 12:15 today and registered. I told them that I was experiencing breathing problems and was feeling tired most of the time which I believed was due to the previous heart attack. They got me in through the ER and ran an EKG and took four tubes of blood. It took from 1:00 PM to 4:45 PM before I got the results. The attending physcian said: That everything came back normal, which I will call for my record on Monday. I also talked with their Social worker who gave me information on Homeless help and care; which I have to call on Monday for info and find out if I qualify for SSD. At least I feel a bit more comfortable about my health condition and now can focus on getting some assistance. If I can make it through the next four months; then I can go back to my Yogi Bear job in March.
Mike Buddy: Thanks for your support; I think of you alot also and send prayer your way!
Janni: Prayer sent your way also; Having the stints done on two separate days was easier and less painful than having a tooth pulled. Just the pinch from the anesthetic and non painful pressure from the tube to guide the wire and the stent in place. Worse part was the endless time it seemed to take for the procedure; I believe at least was 2 hours; but seemed like triple.
It seems that I may have got a bit paranoid not knowing how I was doing since I seen my Doctor in Glasgow KY on July 5th. Then again it is good to get another opinion that agrees that I am healing and getting better.

Not giving in to the stinking thinking of giving up this adventure!!!! It is difficult to stave off those thoughts when one is not feeling well. I have caught a miserable head cold which is causing nose bleed; can't take much for it with the heart meds. Relying on the chicken soup and staying warm and trying to rest. I don't usually get sick too often, but when I do they seem to strike heavy duty. Hopefully by Thursday with Temps near 60 will feel better and get things stowed so if I have to go I will at least be ready. Pieere
