 After attending the Rally I have decided I have been overlooking a couple important items we need to get before hitting the road in Nov. One being a tire monitoring system. And it seems the Pressure Pro is highly thought of. I didn't ask anyone where they bought them figuring I would just find it on Amizon or Camping World or RV toys. But to my surprise they don't have them. So where are you guys buying them? And do they come in set sizes for those with tags and without?

I got mine on e-bay.  It was a bid item and I won the bid at $500 for a system with 10 sensors which was good for our rig.  The cheapest I saw was $700 before that for a 10 sensor system.

Just as a thought, another company is called TST that sells tire pressure monitoring systems.  From what I think I remember, theirs also monitors the tire temperatures as well as the tire pressures.

Based on comments I've seen on three different RV forums, both Pressure Pro and TST seem to have good reviews.  Remember that one may have to order additional sensors in order to monitor all the tires on one's RV.  I think the TST system comes with 6 sensors, but I'm not sure how many are standard with the Pressure Pro.

Looks like a good thing for someone who wanted to invest in a small business and maybe follow a few rallie's around!!!!!..........a small website or just a few adds put on a few majors and away you go!!!!!

And drop shipping is a wonderful thing.....minimal stock!!

All you would have to do is hook up with one of the dealers that are already there and Im sure you could generate a nice risidual income just on commisions....

we've used TST for over 3 years and just love it. we monitor 12 wheels, 6 on the truck and 6 on our Carriage. It has saved us several times.Once letting a brake caliper stuck which allowed us to save the rotor, tire and possible fiberglass damage. Hugs, Di

 Depends on whether you want just the idiot light on the dash or an actual pressure reading. My F450 comes with the TMPS for the truck tires but I put PressurePro sensors on the truck as well.

Define ..."Stock "     if you have a tpms in your tow vehicle I would imagine you would need to get just the sensors for each of the tires on your trailer............if stock means it came new as factory installed with the truck , check your owners manual or go by your local rv dealer. hope this helps!!

I have to agree with the others on this one.  The truck manufacturer's sensors are very limited in what they will do.  As mentioned, if you lose air in one tire, you won't know until it gets low enough to "trip" the sensor and alert you at the dash.  The TPMS systems like Pressure Pro, TST, and a few others have a display to mount or carry in the cab of the truck that will cycle through all the sensors and give the readings for each tire in turn.  Then they will also alert via an alarm if the tire pressure in one drops below a set percentage below the full pressure setting.

With the TST, since it has temperature sensing as well, it will also display the temperatures of the tires.  With that, one can tell if one tire is getting hotter than the others, perhaps because of a wheel heating up for some reason like brakes dragging or bearings failing.

Considering the cost of new tires if one gets ruined by running low on pressure, the TPMS systems will actually save you a lot of money.  Some of those cost savings could be due to being alerted and avoiding a blowout that tears up the body of the coach and other things in the vicinity of the blown tire.

 This post mentioned to Ricos RIde that I had sent him a private message since I was concerned that his first post had a link, but we knew nothing else about him.
