It seems there are many membership options and is a bit much to absorb all the info on each. Since everyones lifestyle varies, I suppose the best memebership is vary indivual. Maybe those of you veterans in this can explain simply:)
I am going to start FT in a few weeks. I will slowly be traveling all over the US with some stays up to 3 months for employment purposes. In places I will not be working I would say 2 weeks would be the max time spent in one place. With that type of planned travel, which memberships are best? I had TT purchased for me from the RV dealer but is only one region an they have a time limit on stays. It has been nice to have for weekend camping so far though. Any suggestions??
Thanks
Beth

for most short stays I use passport america and also have koa.......I have found that for long stays most offer monthly rates that they just cant cut any less.........I also tend to boondock alot durring travel time inbetween long stops.....that all in its self saves several hundred a month on its own........most coaches can go a week without really needing to dump and refill for 2 without being real conservitive.......

Most memberships only allow you to stay 1 to 3 weeks per stay, they are designed for vacationers. Longer stay places normally have monthly rates plus electricity and are not in memberships.

Add to the issue that they never seem to be where you want to be. If you know where you're going to be ahead of time you can research parks in the vicinity and inquire about monthly rates. Just be sure to ask what's included, many parks now charge extra for electricity, and that monthly rate they quoted may not be such a deal.

I would start with Passport America then decide if the other membership plans fit into your style of travel.PA usually pays for itself after just a few uses.

Totally concur... we keep Passport America, and find it well worth the while. If we ever find ourselves frequenting locations where there are other club parks, we might consider a membership. But after 6 years of full timing, we've hardly ever found one in the locations we tend to regularly pass through. So much of our travels are based around visiting family, friends, events and work obligations.
