We purchased a 2010 Baystar about a month ago. We were sold on them due to the craftsmanship and quality they seem to have. It has been a good purchase so far it seems but we have yet to take on any long camping trips. I am hoping that we get many years of use from it. I certainly appreciate all the info and knowledge that I get from here as I look around. So impressive that everyone on here is so helpful. I am looking to get a surge protector for it and it seems as though the progressive hard wired 50 amp is the way to go. Not sure if the extra money for the remote readout is needed. Has anyone used rvupgrades.com. They have it at the best price it seems.

We just purchased our 2000 Newmar a little over a year ago. It had some problems, but most was due to the age of the coach and not the quality. In the last year, we've put on over 11,000 miles on it and it's performing well.
We originally purchased a Newmar because of the good reputation and quality and for a 2000, it seems to be holding up very well.
Yours should be good for quite a few more years with good maintenance and care.

We have Progressive Industries 50 amp plug-in unit and it works very well. The remote on the hard-wired unit is not nessary, but it is nice to be able to see what the voltage is and how many amps your drawing, (especially if you're on a 30 amp circuit), without having to go outside to look at the unit.

We purchased our Progressive 50 amp hardwired unit from RvUpgrades and at the time they did have the cheapest price. Also got the remote readout and placed it inside our coach near the main control panel.

The EMS-LCHW50S arrived this week and I got it installed. I tested it and it works or at least it came on and was giving me readings and I turned things on to test and all went well. I will feel protected now that is is there. Setting up a tool box is next or should I say in the works as I have put some things onboard. I picked up a set of triangle flares today and need to get some pads to go under the leveling feet. I had cut some out of a 2x10 at 12 inches long but I just read that wood isn't a good idea as it will soak up water and could get into trouble if there is a lightning storm. Not too much to worry about here in Oregon but for the future travels it will be needed.

With a 2004 Newmar I don't feel that well qualified to talk about their current models and how well they build them. But a friend just had a problem with a repair Newmar did at the factory and Newmar is paying his expenses to bring it back to fix it right.
Yes we like ours and Newmar has been good to us.

We have a 2001 Newmar and are very satisfied. Had a 40,000 mile full service on it last spring and they said everything is in great condition. Pulling through the mountains right now and it handles good. Double pane windows, oak cabinets, heated basement and quality throughout.

We have an 06 Kountry Star DP and have been fulltiming in it for over 3 years now. We have been very pleased with the quality of this coach and have had no problems with it at all. I would definately look at Newmar again if we were to buy another coach. We have made quite a few modifications, added solar power, upgraded our TV's, added new led lighting fixtures and indirect lighting, installed an electric fireplace and changed our booth dinette into a full length oak sideboard with cupboards, drawers and a pull out table. We have done all of this for our own comfort and pleasure as this is our home and we are very happy with our Newmar.
