I know there are already so many wonderful and very useful & informative topics (sections? not sure what you want to refer to them as; "Ask Howard" is one of them).
How about (perhaps in the Members only section) something called "Where are You?" so that people who are in the same general vicinity can hook up with each other.
Just a thought.

I like this. although I have had to put a halt in my travel plans for medical reasons ,I know when Im on the road it would be nice other than through the chat room to see who is around .
I will be back out there in 2013 , I unfortunatley got caught up in the outbreak At Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire........thow in a quad bypass in march and all the sudden I became a seasonal camper in a campground I hope you all dont have to visit(not Recommended)......
But it would be nice to Place a face and see like friends on a whim!!!!!!!
great Idea!!!!

I'll see what I can come up with. We used to have a map where members could update their locations, but the company that provided the software stopped supporting it. There are other map applications out there, but they are more suited to folks with a static location.
I'd love to have a members map where everyone could update their locations and each person could get an email reminder to update. If folks don't update, the map quickly becomes useless.
That's the problem with having a sub-forum. The threads become outdated fairly quickly when folks forget to update their locations.
But let me think about it. I've always liked the idea, we just have to re-visit the best way to do it.

It Seems to me that I reviewed something like it on Technomedia Blog or NURvers. Worth a try! I will browse there again and inform!

I agree. Nothing more fun that actually meeting the people you have been "chatting" with. Hugs, Di

Not that everyone has one, but doesn't one of the satelite dish companies allow tracking location of their dishes?
It is great meeting people you've being talking too.

I was on the NuRvers website this PM and they have a map location where the poster can show their location. Don't know how you would get that to operate in your threads. PIEERE
