Don't go on the train ride in Branson, it's the biggest disappointment we have ever spent money on. Absolutely nothing to see but trash, run down houses and trees. I complained heavily and reported them to the BBB. Got a full refund!

Nice photos and fresh approach to your blog. We often greatly enjoy a cruise, or a train ride in a new location just for the orientation and we enjoy them a lot even though they aren't the best we have ever done. Thanks for your effort and sharing.

Another scenic train ride is the 1880 Train ride in the Black hills in South Dakota. We took this ride and enjoyed it very much. The scenery is amazing! Here is the link: http://www.1880train.com/

No train ride but I did visit the L&N rail museum in Bowling Green Ky. This was a way-point between Louisville Ky. and Nashville Tn. They have a lot of history of the Civil War and and the different kind of cars used until the 1970's when it stopped running. It is housed in the Rail Station along with the library.

A very scenic train trip is from Williams, AZ to the Grand Canyon. Especially after a foot of snow.
I'll be doing that one soon, maybe next.
