We're starting to get pumped now. We leave Friday to head out to Kansas to pick up our 39' New Horizons. Our stix and brix hasn't closed yet; but we have a finalized contract and passed the home inspection. The only thing left is the home inspection repairs which will be 5000 or so and the appraisal but based on recent sales prices in the neighborhood we don't anticipate any issue there.
Looking forward to closing on June 28 and hitting the road on Jul 22 as soon as Connie gets home from her professional society convention in LA.
We're heading up to the Bard Music Festival in upstate NY in August, through the northeast as the leaves turn in the fall and then south to northern FL for the winter; with our current jello plan for next year to go to the New Horizons rally in Texas in the spring then head up through Minneapolis, Alberta, and Seattle for a series of concerts and hiking through next spring/summer and we'll probably winter over the 2013 winter in the southwest somewhere…but of course anything past Christmas or so this year is still in liquid jelly form
We were dreading having to sell or donate our pool table but luckily our buyers are going to buy it from us.

Where will you be in northern NJ? We live in south jersey and with our house on the market we hope to be following yu down the road soon. If you pass by the Philadelphia area give a shout.

The housing market sure seems to be picking up, I keep reading everyone is in escrow. Maybe the market is finally turning a corner. Congrats on the plan coming together.

We're leaving the DC area on July 22 and will be stopping in Clarksburg, MD, Elverson, PA and Flanders, NJ about a week each before we get to Elizaville, NY on Aug 9. Would be happy to see any Dreamers in the areas we're passing through.
After 2 weeks in Elizaville we're headed to Cape Cod for Labor Day but plans gets sort of fuzzy after that…although we're tentatively looking at toodling around New England for another month before starting south for the winter.
We arrived in Junction City this evening and will be picking up the rig in the morning. Ran by New Horizons this evening on the way in and it looks all ready for us to go tomorrow. We'll put up some pictures on our blog probably tomorrow evening if we aren't too busy working any punch list issues.
Looking forward to seeing all of you out on the road soon.

We've been here in Junction City since Sunday and our new home looks great. Few small niggling problems but mostly an outstanding job by New Horizons. Should be out of here tomorrow heading back to VA to finish up the last fes home inspection issues and close on the house. I have posted a couple pictures on our blog at http://guntherandkara.com, will post a more extensive your when we are moving in and it looks less like a storage locker. Not quite as much basement as I envisioned but it should be sufficient. Ordered us a kayak from Tim at inflatableboats4less.com, they were having a nice sale. Hopefully we will have driving training today since we're leaving tomorrow so that the first time I back up it won't be in the campground, but if it I'd then I guess it is.

We're back home in Fairfax and the rig is in the driveway. Only took me 2 tries to sneak it in past the telephone pole…I was pretty pleased with myself.
We close on the house on Thursday, will be finishing up packing this week and will be heading out to the Lake Fairfax campground on July 2 to start our adventure. We're doing a 3 week rent back to finish cleaning up the house for the buyers and so Connie can go to LA for her convention but we're on the road on July 22 heading north.
Things went pretty well on the trip home; we found out the hard way that the tri fold hard cover is slightly too tall for towing and did a little damage to the underside of the front end cap. Nothing a little body putty and a respray won't cure; but I sure hated to ding up our new home. Guess I'll be putting the tri fold on craigslist and getting something else that sticks up less…probably a Truxedo Deuce I think.
It's been quite hot since we got back; which is making moving in pretty tough on Connie and I since I can't run any AC on the 15 amp outlet I'm plugged into. I might have to plug in the Honda 2000 tomorrow…that will let me run 1 AC at least and maybe I can keep the temp down in the 80's while we work stowing stuff. Supposed to be nicer over the weekend…we're sure hoping for that.
