We have a Hughes Autoformer and a Progressive Industries EMS. We find that the Autoformer does not react fast enough for the EMS to be happy, so if the outside voltage goes too low the EMS cuts it off before the Autoformer raises the voltage. In those situations we just use the Autoformer and bypass the EMS. The Autoformer does provide some surge protection, but not as good as the EMS. I know Frank's Electronics makes a combination autoformer/ems, but have no experience with it.

Since being at our campground for the last week, our Progressive Industries EMS-30 has cut power to our coach at least 3-4 times per day due to low voltage.
Because we are the Host in the park, we do not have the luxery of moving our rig to another pedestal, an electrician is coming out to take a look at things but I doubt if the problem is something major the park will actually put the money needed into the problem to get it fixed.
So, I was considering purchasing an Autoformer to boost power to my rig when the voltage is low to prevent the Progressive from shutting down our coach, does anyone have any recommendations on a good Autoformer?
