Well, not a real disaster, depending on one's needs, but at least it is a welcome advantage.
The mobile home park where we are located is having issues with the plumbing for the last four sites on our row. (I think the high pressure we have here has really affected it.) When the folks came out to fix the problem, they weren't able to finish the job. (This was yesterday, a Friday.)
After work yesterday, we came home and we have very little water pressure, but some water. However, nowhere near enough pressure is there to take showers and wash clothes. We also got word that the job won't be finished until at least Monday sometime.
If we had been in a regular home or a mobile home here, Jo might have been having a fit over being that far behind in laundry and not having her showers. However, the saving grace of an RV is that little detail of a fresh water tank and a 12V pump. It took about an hour or two, but I was finally able to fill the tank and now we are BOTH happy campers.
A couple that are with the horse racing scene just recently bought their used travel trailer, and were panicking with the thought of no water for that length of time. So, I carried over a bucket of water to do a quick flush of their commode and helped them get their fresh water tank filled and their pump checked.
You just gotta love a back-up plan.

The saving grace of having an RV. Some times we get so complacent with our living conditions, we forget there is a solution right under our noses. Bet you made your neighbors day. Pieere
