Wow, we've been working for over two years getting rid of STUFF and experiencing all of our lasts, but tomorrow starts the beginning of our new life and a whole experience of new firsts.
We're both retired as of tomorrow and I believe it will be our last - last, it will be the last time dh has to get up to go to work. Then the new firsts begin - one small load to take to the RV and we'll be completely moved in!! We are so excited but a little scared also. I'm sure we are going to love full timing we've worked so hard to get to this point!!
Reading this forum has provided us with a wealth of information and helped us along the trek! Thanks to all of you. I'm sure we're going to have lots of questions now that we're actually Full Timers.
Wish us luck and we'll keep you all posted on our experiences.

Best of luck to you. I'm jealous. We're still about a year away from hitting the road, although we've been full timing for almost a year now.
Post lots of pictures

Congratulations! It is a little scary. Steve and I left Florida March 19th and are now in Oregon workamping for a few months. We're excited about seeing the country. I still feel a little anxious at times but I'm glad for the opportunity to do this while we're healthy and young enough to enjoy the adventure. Good Luck!

Best of travels - we started F/T about 3 weeks ago and LOVIN IT!!! It does take some getting used to and some "Oh this is how you do it!!"- moments - but all will work out and when in doubt always ask for help. A wealth of knowledge out there.

Good luck on your new fulltiming life, Bob & Cherie! We took the plunge about a month ago and are having a super time at our workamping job in Moab, UT. The house and our life before retirement has now become a distant memory! Don't worry about being apprehensive or scared... traveling into the unknown is really what makes it more fun and exciting.

You will meet so many nice people in your travels it will make you wonder why didn't you do it sooner. For me I am not retired and am a work camper. I have met so many others doing the same, many retired and living their dreams. I have a few that communicate by phone or emails and have become best of friends. I am working for a Yogi Park now and the owners and manager have been magnificent. Oh! They expect you to work hard but when there is an injury or illness they look out for you.
I had a heart attack the end of March; BTW where did April go; the manager got me to the hospital because my Motorhome would have been a chore to unhook and put things away. I was in the hospital a week and the manager, owners and a couple co-workers came to visit even though it was a 40+ mile trip.
I believe you will like starting the new firsts and hold on tight; it is quite a ride! Pieere

Congratulations Bob & Cheri! How exciting for the both of you and your furbabies.
The DH and I pulled out of the driveway for the last time from our S&B to start our new life YESTERDAY! LOL, our first stop for 5 days is here at my brother's house to visit with him and his family (he is only 20 miles away LOL) and then on Thursday we are off on the road to start our new Workamper job!
You are right..it is scary... but if you think about all the "scary" things that you have done throught your life especially to get to the point you are at right now, I think the rest hopefully will be a piece of cake!
Good luck to the both of you, hope to meet you on the road sometime!

Congratulations to new full timers! Enjoy, be safe & healthy! I envy you. We spend lots of time in our travel trailer but I'd love to full time! We both love our home and neighbors that we can't give it up, which we'd have to do to afford the upgrades i'd want (truck & fiver). Plus we're both 69 and think about the time when we might need to give up the road......our home is perfect one level and easily managed. Still...........

Congratulations to all you new full-timers. I envy you but am happy for you. I am hoping 2013 will be our year to retire and then go full-time. Hubby has started reading all Howard's great pages on the whole thought process and I think he is coming around to the idea. I just signed us up for the Workamper Rendevuous in AR and hope to make one of Linda and Howard's in 2013. Long weekends and short vacations just don't satisfy us anymore. Even if we decide to not sell the house, (I want to, he doesn't), we still want to part-time full-time. Have a great summer, hope to meet you all on the road someday! :)
