First of all, RVing may not be the best choice. Without RVing experience, you may want to start off by renting an RV to see if it is something you want to continue to do. It takes some work to RV and a lot folks find they would rather stay in hotels and sightsee vs. the RV route.

I have no knowledge of RV's or RVing, yet my Berliner mom is aging so fast with AD, I want to fullfill one of her last dreams while still on this plain with us.
Please advice, what is the best road worthy, pre owned RV, for say, no more than 68K, yes we want to tow a small vehicle.

OK, thats fair advice, I think I might enjoy it, traveling with elder person, its hard to stay in rooms, cuz they need familiaraity, and at mom's age, she'd really needs surroundings to remain the same.
If it don't work out, then ya put the unit up for sale right. When ones time is running out, you want to give them everything they ever wanted, and Erica always wanted an RV. so why not give it a try. I was going to fly to Arizona next week from Seattle, and look at some units in SunCity that look fairly nice.
Hell it may just change my mind, after I go down and look it all over. Yes, I saw a couple in Oregon, yet the prices are so darn high there, whereas, in Arizona, they tend to be less.
Give me more of your thought please,

My opinion, and worth every penny you paid for it, is to find yourself a decent motor home and go traveling. You already know about watching your mother, so I won't go there.
PPL has already been mentioned, and I check them regularly. We're not yet ready to buy, but I'm getting a feel for prices of coaches that might be of interest to us.
http://www.buybyebluebird.com/ is another site that I monitor regularly, since a 'Bird is high on our list of possibles. Towing is easily done with a 'Bird. At your price range you won't have any trouble finding one. Join wanderlodgeownersgroup.com and you will get plenty of good advice and a network of friends.
The third site that I monitor is another one that is high on our list, Foretravel. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/ has other high end brands, too, but is mainly Foretravels. Again, your price range lets you into lots of good coaches. Join foreforums.com and you will get plenty of good advice and a network of friends. Yes, that's exactly what I said about WOG.
My suggestion is to purchase a high-end coach because the previous owners will have more than likely taken better care of it and it was built better to start with. On another thread a family was looking at a 2007 MH that is priced at $17,500 but will need plenty of work to get it up to par. For the same money they can buy a 'Bird that is not going to need as much up front, but is quite a bit older.
That brings up my final bit of advice. Set aside about $10,000 for repairs and upgrades that you will need/want. That amount can be reduced (and added to the amount you pay for the coach) IF the repairs and upgrades have already been done. For example, tires can be ~$500 each. A coach with six tires means that you are looking at $3000 for a new set of tires. You will be replacing tires based on their age, not the tread, so pay attention to the date code. If the coach has new tires, you can take $3000 out of the repair/upgrade budget and add it to the price you are willing to pay because that expense has already been taken care of.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have all the sites down on paper. I started looking at modified coachs, some have great handicap features, whereas, I know at mom's age (85) yet only 102 #'s she could utilize some of those features, ( me too, at 52 yrs, old I love grab bars).
It's like I sell a systems called GrandCare Systems, throught the Pacific Northwest, I'm going to place a GC System in the RV for mom, why not she has one on her coffee table in the living room, right.
Plus a happy mom, means a happier care giver.
I read: adding some of the aging in place features to an RV can cost about $25.000, Thats OK, it's for mom, she suufered through the Hitler Regime, Hitler youth camp, then in China, her father was acussed of being an American spy, took him.... any way short of the long is: She is slipping, so why not.
Time Slips, Forget Memory, Think Imagination... right
Are there any web sites which post modified Class A's for the aging which you know of?

Don't know of any offhand, but I suspect that the higher the original price was, the more likely you will find some of the features you want/need. I know that people have added wheelchair lifts and other devices to 'Birds. You might email Randy randy@randydupree.com and see what he can tell you. He knows of 'Birds that are for sale that are not listed on his site.

it's like when I moved mom in with me, I searched, and searched, for the perfect place, then came upon 2 fairly new homes on 5 acres, the little one was an aging in place home, only 700 Sq. ft. 4 years old, was in foreclousure for 1 year.
It was that meant to be sensation, you know what I mean. I'LL TAKE EM! Now that I recall, and lol, I never even looked inside those two home, one just felt it.
So, the same with the RV, if it's meant to be, then I'll find something, if not, then invest funds in the property for mom, either way, it's about her life, and a couple more years of delight for her.
