Bob and Sue here (Sue typing...I'm faster at it). New to your group, but not RV'ing. We got our first TT in July of 2000. On a 3 week trip we out grew the TT, stopped at an RV dealer on the way home "just to look" and drove off the next day with a 38' Newmar Dutch Star. Bob has driven big rigs so it was easy for him to drive home.
In the years to come we 3/4 times in an Alfa motorhome and full timed in a 43' Country Coach Allure. 5 years ago we settled down in Box Elder, SD and traded our Class A for a Newmar 5th wheel. We RV'd a bit year.
Now, after some health issues with Bob (he's ok now) we decided to sell the house, trade in the truck and 5ver and go back to a Class A MH. We've been looking and have decided on a Newmar Dutch Star. The house is on the market and hopefully before too long we can get our new "home on wheels"

Hi Sue and Bob,
Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like you have a lot of experience with different types of RVs. There are many here on the forum who are just starting out and will be interested to know how you liked the different types.

Thanks for the welcome! Looks like a great group.
We much prefer a motorhome to something towable. We like the convenience of being "in the home" when we stop. Don't have to get out in bad weather to run to the RV. And since Bob has to be careful of his back, hooking up a toad is much easier than hitching up the 5th wheel.
Each one has it's merits. Our preference is for a MH.

Welcome aboard. We bought our first TT in 2000. Use it as lived in California until was relocated to Virginia. Traded it in because weather is SO DIFFERENT than California and bought 2011 Tiffin 35 QBA. Going extended in 2013. Still not sure if we are full timers but will know by 2014.
Happy trsils

Welcome Bob & Sue,
Nice to have another "motorhomer" in our group. I think we're outnumbered, LOL

We had trailers years ago and at this stage of our lives like the convenience of the MH and the ease of hooking up a toad instead of trailer or 5th wheel.
