My wife and I planning on begining our full time camping trip in the next month or two. I want to get the entertainment system right. I need unlimited internet . Leaning towards Hughs Net right now, since I keep getting offers for free equipment with a contract?
I'm a little stressed just trying to figure out the right lap top computer to replace this desk top computer. Every web page recommends Apple; but I am scared to switch operating systems. I do like my i-phone though. We will boon dock a lot or stay in remote parks in the west/midwest.
I also want satellite TV. trying to figure out the best dish, reciever, entertainment system for inside the Cyclone and outside.
Any ideas/recommendations?

Hi there...how exciting to be on your way to full time soon!
My Dh and I are hoping to be full timers by October of this year so we are working on these same issues. I need internet service as I have an online business I will be doing on the road.
I have Hughesnet now at my home and frankly it is not all that great, weather is bad no service and it seems like every year to year and a half I have equipment failures and it gets frustrating. Plus...you do not get near the advertized speeds as they advertize, my service is much slower!
I plan on starting out using my Sprint phone and use the internet service from that to teather my computer. I use it most days anyway and it is better and more dependeble then Hughes anyway. Hughes is expensive for what you get in MHO. Also on Hughes depending upon your plan, you have a FAP every 24 hours (Fair Access Policy) I have the pro plan and have to make sure I don't go over 350mb in a 24 hour peroid or they knock your service down to slower then dial up for 24 hours. So if you use alot of bandwidth...you may want to rethink Hughes.
I know if I use my Sprint phone that it is important for me to camp and be in parks that I can get service, or be in a park that has wifi.
For TV, we have Dishnetwork here at home and recently I came upon the "tailgaiter" you can google it. It looks like a great way to have your Dish TV and it is portable and not to costly. It is basically a cube that automatically finds the satellites (3 of them) and basically all you have to do is get a good view of the Southern sky! sounds pretty easy to me.
Good luck, I know others on the form has mentioned that (Millenicom) http://www.millenicom.com/page/plans#unlimited_plan is good for Internet service you might try to if you do a form search you will find info about that service.
