Welcome , I also retire at 62. The day following my retirement [May 30'08] we were out of state on our fulltiming adventure. We have been traveling the country ever since and have loved every day of it. We wish you the best on your new adventures.

I can't WAIT until I turn 62 (less than 1.5 years). I'm going to feel "rich" with all that extra income!! I think that once you reach 60 you may as well just "jump" to 62 and skip those worthless years in between.... :)

Welcome and Happy Traveling! Jack M., You must be around my age. Looking forward to July of 2013 and being "RICH" also! LOL. It will be nice to be able to pay the basic living expenses and just work part-time for the EXTRAS. Pieere

I'll be 63 next month. The plan is to have the MH PAID OFF, house sold and a move to a condo; annuity kicks in at 66; wife collecting SS this year and all of it toward the MH..CAN'T WAIT

Who's worried! If you clik on my Blog in the BLUE under my comment. I've been workamping since the Winter 0f 2010. Like these short-term positons and visit areas where I want to work! But, age 62 will be GREAT! Pieere

My beautiful bride of 42 years told me tonight that she is completely on board! This is the most important event in our plan to go fulltiming next year. We have a community yard sale coming up and will begin the clean out of our house to downsize. 14 months and counting!

At 43 years & counting, I know the importance of both partners being on board with the full-time plan. For us, since we "thought" we had our business sold, the big worry was selling the house, so we started a year early (last May). It sold in three weeks for 98% of the asking price, to a cash buyer!! (Who also bought everything in it!!) Unfortunately, the business sale fell through,so we moved into our RV, at a very nice place locally, and continue to work our business 'till it gets sold,or if not by next year when we are both 66,we'll sell the equipment & walk. But, what an adventure so far. So liberating. All our "Stuff" now fits in our 5th wheel. This summer we traveled 6300+ miles (our business is school related),with everything we own behind us. We were offered employment twice when we mentioned we'd like to workcamp. We came back to the place where we now base, and talk to RV'ers every day, some static, but most on the way to or from somewhere else. How exciting! I can't wait to walk around every day,as we are in a place with a lot of activity. Not on the road yet,but one major hurdle cleared. Relax, and as the manufacturer of the RV I own says "Enjoy the Journey".
