Welcome from a fellow Hoosier! We started our adventure 3 years ago when we sold the house and moved into the 5th wheel while still working our careers and downsizing. Those Indiana winters got a little tough but we made it through. DW got laid off last June so I retired in October and we hit the road! We are currently in Texas and will be work camping back in Indiana at the KOA in Terre Haute next summer. Nice choice on the truck! We love our HDT, well to be honest we love the fact we can take the motorcycle along and the HDT does that for us, plus they are fantastic to tow with!
Don't be shy, jump right in and participate!

We just heard about this forum last week when we met Howard and Linda at one of their seminars at the Grand Rapids, MI RV show. Most of our time has been spent on the Escapees forum and following several blogs.....RV-Dreams.com being one of them.
We live here in northern Indiana in RV central; I am an engineer by trade and my DW works in IT in the medical field. We have been planning to fulltime for 4 years now but are still 2+ years away from pulling the trigger. however, we have already started downsizing and disposing of "assets". We hope to have the house on the market by summer. We have travelled and camped via tent for 30 years either from the motorcycles or while pulling the boat. We have already purchased our tow vehicle, a 2006 Volvo 780, and are looking for a used 40' heavy toyhauler in great condition.....possibly a KZ Escalade.
Our daughter and son-in-law live in Norfolk, VA. He is in the USN and she is a vet tech. Our son is a sophomore in college working on an engineering degreee and is in the Indiana National Guard.
We look forward to meeting manyof you somewhere down the road!!

Welcome to the forums. You will find a lot of information here, just as you have in Howard and Linda's journals. Being in Indiana, you have the advantage of being around lots of RV factories.
Also, since you have a couple of years before the actual full-time life, you have the time to really do your research. Good luck with it all. Feel free to ask questions and make comments.

Welcome aboard. We are also starting to downsize. Scary that it might take 2 years or more.
Good luck and let us know how it's going

All: Thanks for the warm welcome!! We have started trying to whittle things down but it is easier said than done. Motorcycles, quads, shop tools, hobby & craft stuff, family heirlooms, etc all has to go. We have gotten rid of some large items but we still have a looong way to go.
Phil: How do you load your HD on the truck? Do you ride it on?
