Since we've only been fulltime for a few months, I don't have a lot of experience yet w/this convection oven. I never had one in the stix n brix. But so far, it seems to work well. All the cookies I've baked have been great & they cook fast. Last week, I made Chicken Cordon Bleu & it was really good too. The chicken was nice & crispy brown on the outside & moist on the inside. Tonight, I made Smothered Pork Chops & they were yummy.
The biggest problem that I've had has been making bread. I made Pumpkin Bread for the holidays & it turned out awful. Overdone on the edges & not done at all in the middle. I was very disappointed in that. So I'm still working on how to make bread turn out ok.
I hope to eventually get the hang of it!

I absolutely love the GE Advantium!!! It has worked flawlessly and has been up to any task I have programed it to tackle. The site Cindy T offered is a good one and increased my understanding significantly.
I would not want a conventional oven with all the heat, energy consumption and cleaning. Yea Advantium!!!

I've started using Silicone products for baking in our S/B - much less weight to carry!!! So far they seem good - made a 9x9 of brownies last night and they came out real good. So far cooking time is about 5-8 minutes less than a glass pan. I wonder how they would do in this convectiion/micro?
Going to try a meatloaf next in a Silicone meatloaf/bread container.
Any experience out there?

We have been full-time since 1997 and have used a convection/microwave exclusively during that period. Once you get used to how things cook it is great. Doing a full blown TXgiving dinner requires good timing to get everything out hot and on time but it works great. Things do brown but I have not been able to do anything close to what you could do with a broiler. Otherwise, this is a great device and saves a lot of space over using a standard RV oven.

Thought I'd share this website for all of you who have a GE Advantium 120 Convection/Microwave. It has recipes & tips.
Terry, maybe it will even help you learn to fry water!!
