I was thinking about visiting Yellowstone this Summer and was wondering if anyone has ever drove their RV up Teton Pass and if so would you recommend it?

Did it in a car....I would certainly take into account your weight and horsepower.....I was advised not to cross east to west and I am glad I did not. West to east would not be as much of a concern except for that whole BRAKE thing.....

Did it in summer west to east with a 30 ft C Class - no problem. I don't remember it particularly steep - just pretty long.

We stayed a campground in Jackson and rented a car to sightsee the area. We made the trip up Teton Pass going west then stopped at the top, took some pictures and started down the east side. It is a 10% grade for 6 miles and being a retired semi driver, I took my time in the 4 wheeler and would NEVER NEVER go down that pass with my 40' motorhome. My coach weighs 28,000# with a 6 speed tran., and 330 cat. with a Pac Brake and still would not make that trip.
