This improvement has really changed the way we utilize a corner cabinet. This cabinet is about 18" across the back, 14" on the side, It is a Right Triangle. The whole cabinet has always been a challenge to use. My wife came up with the idea for a coffee station. The cabinet had no electric or light, so away I went..First located the closest outlet that happened to be an exterior outlet.

The existing outlet was smaller than my GFI replacement so I had to expand the hole, here is the old outlet

After a bit of snaking and wiring, here is the new COFFEE STATION....the new outlet can be seen, along with a light strip mounted to the underside of the shelf above....

One more note on this improvement, the cabinet had two wood doors that where hinged to each side of the cabinet. In order to allow more clearance I changed the hinges on one side to 180DEG euro hinges, then piano hinged the two doors together, now when the doors are opened they are totally out of the way giving full access to the space.....

Good job, Gene. Looks professional.
As for the idea of posting other modifications here from others, on another forum where I participate, I suggested a specific thread for "Tips, Tricks, and Aftermarket Mods" that was adopted and has turned out to be a popular category. I may need to suggest that to Howard to see if there would be room for another cagegory in the forums.

Isn't fun to find little nooks and crannys where you can modify for a purpose.
My DW said one day, what's inside of the step leading up to the bathroom/bedroom area. I said it's probably just a hollow box. Next thing you know, I had pried off the top and sure enough it was an empty box that formed the step. I put a piano hinge on the lid/step and now the box holds a set of electronic flares in case of breakdown and several easy to get to flashlights.
At our entry door was a coat closet. We used it mostly for junk storage. At her urging (read as nagging), I emptied the closet, installed shelves and it is now her small appliance garage.

Isn't it nice finding extra space!
Terry - good idea to create a new forum. I have a couple of changes to my MH I could share.

Good job Gene. This is very similar to what I did in my S/B kitchen.
I like the idea of an area where Mods and Improvements can be stored.
