Hi Everyone!

Well, I listed my home for sale in preparation for full time RVing and have an offer pending...hope to close by Feb. at the latest.

It will be just a little longer though before I begin my full time RV lifestyle. My 13 old son and I are going to be riding our bikes across the country in memory of my brother who we lost to cancer in 2002.

I will likely be staying with a friend from the time my home sells until we begin our ride. Once our ride is complete then we will enter the full time RV lifestyle. 

Our trip is 4,254 miles...if you see us on the road please say hi!

How will you recognize me? Just look for the 13 year old riding with the guy with the long beard! You see, I have made an agreement with my son that I won't shave until we finish our ride!

Well, we are one step closer to beginning our full time lifestyle when we complete our ride this summer...our house sold last week! Yea!!!

Hi everybody...my son and I start our cross country ride in about 6 weeks so be sure to say hi if you see us on the road!

Just look for the guy with the red hair, a thick beard and a 13 year old boy!

Have you connected with the Vogel family? They biked all over America for nearly a year.. and then went from Alaska to Argentina with their 2 pre-teen twin sons. www.familyonbikes.com is where they blog at... they may have some tips and information to share with you.  They even have a book out now about their American roadtrip.

I hope the "logistics" of RV living is easier than planning for a bike ride!

That said...my son and I have decided to begin our ride in Colorado so we can be with family when we kick off our ride!

We will begin in the gorgeous community of Breckenridge, Co.
