After months and months (and seemingly) months of looking & lurking we bought a bus for full timing today!!! DH & I are so excited and overwhelmed all at the same time.
Our "new" home is a 1993 Foretravel Grand Villa Unihome - 40 footer! What a bus she is - we will undoubtedly be here bugging all of you who have gone before us - as this is our first MH ever! Yep - we love to jump in! She needs a little love - we got plenty of that - but runs like a champ.
In our previous life we owned a B&B - before that I am former controller for a landscape contractor and DH was retired from the trucking industry.
We are very grateful to have such a wonderful resource as this. I must apologize in advance as I know there will be many questions!
Enough for now. Glad we're here!

Well - after 3 weeks we are not feeling so much like deer in the headlights! We had an uneventful trip to FL from CT - we are constantly amazed at the quality of this coach. At 19 years old - everything works beautifully. She weathered 10 below wind chill in CT before we left with no antifreeze in the water system as I was in the process of sanitizing it - thank god for basement heaters! We are are now in Silver Springs and enjoying the weather - no chance of 10 below here! I will add some photos soon.

How exciting and welcome to this site. There is certainly a wealth of information here and everyone is so eager to help.
We took the plunge in Sept and bought our first ever 5th wheel and have been living in it since Oct. Love it....... We have only taken a couple of trips but more to come. DH lost his job as of jan1 but we have plans. God provides and we are certainly glad not to have the big mortgage hanging over our heads!!
Good luck and sit back and enjoy the journey. That is what is about.

Yeah! Very exciting! We moved into our MH recently to become full timers. Steve and I, lifelong Floridians, will be leaving Florida in March. We've been following this site for a very long time. It has given us the courage and confidence to know we are doing the right thing for us. See you down the road!

Enjoy Silver Springs. We stayed at Wilderness RV Park Estates in 2010. We will be in Wildwood the start of March. What tow car do you have?

Christi and Ray,
Congratulations and welcome to the RV Dreams forums. You will find a lot of knowledgeable, friendly, helpful participants eager to help with questions.
Sadly, you may find a few with peculiar senses of humor as well. With a little time, you will realize that just about everyone here is really happy that you are starting your new life.
Now, having warned you about the smart alecks, I really have to ask about your avatar photo and why you aren't dressed appropriately.
(I warned you didn't I? I'm probably one of the worst of those trying to inject humor into the forum.)
Feel free to ask questions and make comments. We all learn from each other's knowledge and the occasional mistakes that each encounters as well.

Terry, I was wondering the same thing. But I wouldn't call it humor, its more like curiosity . Just what are they trying to project into our minds. A nudist Rv camp in Florida perhaps?

That is too funny - This forum must have pulled my Facebook avatar which uses a small portion of this photo!
Here soon I'll get some photos of our new home and post them here.
