Nice! A link in a topic that links back to the topic being discussed. How many times did you have to click on the link before you figured out were were right back where you started (took me 2 times!).

Try the Sears Craftsman model 15309. Runs around a hundred dollars and will do the job. Weighs around 21 lbs.

Seems to be a problem with the link function as I have tried twice lately to add a direct link only to have it do the same thing.I have no problem on other forums.

OK. This is both a test and an answer. I have a link to the Sears website with the air compressor that both Howard and I use.
I will insert that link in two ways. One with just the link address so that if the "linky" thing doesn't work, then one can "copy and paste" that link address into their browser search line.
After posting, this test will be complete but the information to the air compressor will be available in either one of both methods.
Terry
EDIT: OK. After posting, neither wanted to go to the Sears website. So, to see the air compressor, cut and paste the first (literal) link.
EDIT #2: After posting the above and testing using Internet Explorer, I logged out and went to Firefox to test things. In Firefox, the first link worked but the one using the "linky" icon did not. So, if you are using IE, you may have to copy and paste. If you are in another browser, who knows what will happen.

Terry, I am using Chrome and both links worked.Maybe you could do a step by step on the hot link process for those of us who are obviously missing a step somewhere. Thanks ** Just to be clear I am only having trouble creating the hot links.

Well, things are all over the place here. One minute they work for me and the next they don't.
I did go into Jerry and Carol's post and try to correct his link. Now....when I tested it after editing, it worked. But the way things are going here, it may not later.
Yeesh!!
George,
I think you've got an idea there. I will check with Howard. As a moderator, I do have the ability to do things otherwise not capable. For instance, I was able to edit and (hopefully) fix Jerry and Carol's link. I can also make a post a "Sticky" so that it remains at the top. That would be beneficial for those wanting to use it as a source of instruction.
However, since I don't want to presume too much authority, I will ask Howard first before doing a step-by-step set of instructions for posting a link.,
Thanks for the idea.

Came across this one at the Harbor Freight Store. 150 psi and the right size for the RV basement. It was actually $10 less expensive in the store than the $139 online price. Many of us need the 150 psi size. The exact same unit at Sears was $299 on the same day. Ya got to be kidding.
I ordered the one howard has from sears just the other day online price was $99 with free shipping. It's scheduled to arrive monday.
it does 150psi

Good for you.The one Howard has, as he says, seems to come and go at Sears. Get them while you can.I got the Porter Cable 150psi from Sears (rebranded as “Craftsman”) for $99 some years ago but those deals are over.
Gotta shop around as they say

The Sears Red compressor (150 psi) is a good buy. Just seen them here in the Sears store for $99.00. I have owned mine since 2005 and it still getting the job done. If it ever breaks, I will get another one... Happy Trails....

Maybe it is just me, but I've never had problems finding that Sears air compressor. In fact, if you follow the link in my previous post or the following one, you will now find it for $89.99 on a Black Saturday Sale. Probably for today only.
So, if you are interested in this one, hurry to your Sears store today, November 26.

Terry.
I bought mine at Sears several months ago at the $89.99 price, so it's not only a Black Friday sale price. They seem to offer it frequently at that (sale) price.

VIAIR makes a real small unit that will do 120psi.. We love it, it is a bit pricey, but has many attachments, powers up off the battery....

While it is unrelated to the brand of compressor, I used an older LPG cylinder, roughly 5 gallons in volume to attach to our Sears compressor with the 1.5 gallon capacity tank. More volume means more air at a time and the compressor doesn't have to run as much.
If anyone is interested in what that involved and how it works, I posted about it on my blog today. The only issue with having the LPG cylinder for more volume is that it does take up a bit of space in the basement. But, once I get that area organized better, it won't make much difference.
You can see the posting about the extra tank here:
Months ago thier was soom discussion regarding air compressors. Any idea for a unit that would be portable (small), 125 psi, afforable etc...
Thanks
A search on Air Compressor will find a couple of threads on the subject. Here is one that has some good info.
