Racerguy, I just wanted to wish you guys the best on your life after fulltiming. It seems most of us are either already fulltimers or looking forward to it but there has to be a time when it comes to an end as well. Sure hope you'll continue to hang out here and share the wisdom you've gained over the years!

Thanks Ron, We started out knowing it would not be a long term thing but not serious but nagging health issues cropped up which were impossible to handle living in the RV.We do plan to buy a Class C or small Class A and still do some traveling when we feel better. I will still hang out here as I am addicted to this forum . I am glad we had an exit strategy in place and advise others to have one also.

George,
Glad someone with your experience & insight will still contribute to those of us yet to "hit the road." By "exit strategy" I'm assuming you mean having funds to purchase a S&B, like condo, townhome, or home? Or, are you referring to something else?

Hi, George and Linda! Seems you have pointed out something that we all need to think about. Most posts here are about how to downsize, get out on the road to live the dream, and that's the fun part that we all are focusing on. But we all need to do as you have with the back up plan in place. Just a thought, but maybe we could use a thread where folks like you and others can share your experiences as you slow down and contemplate how to cope with the realities that we all must face. Hope your rig finds a buyer and good home soon. Glad that you are going to stick around the forum. Take care, Pat K

George:
I am very sorry to hear about the need for your change based on health needs.I appreciate your candor and wish you well.Perhaps it will be possible for you to continue sometime in the future in the RV community. We will pray for that and will miss you should you need to leave the forum.
May I point out something that you touched on that I feel is critically important as pertains to an “exit strategy” and all our “RV-Dreams.”It is not that you should not follow your RV-Dream because something might happen. Is that you should have a general, at least, exit strategy should something require such a change of life style.
This is not a view of negative thought; it is a view of reality that we all might face someday.Follow the dream, but with a plan should that dream get changed.
Safe travels and smooth paths, George.
Bill

Jake, that was the jist of it.We were lucky enough to have the funds to buy our condo but I guess the main thing was to be sure you could live comfortably if something interrupts your plans.
