“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” SJ

If nothing else, Steve Jobs was a man with a vision, one that contributed greatly to a lot of lives. We can all consider ourselves to be blessed with his vision, even if we don't own an Apple or I-whatever.
I was thinking the same thing as I read this. Life is short...live it to the fullest!

Truly, Steve Jobs as well as Bill Gates deserve gratitude for their innovation and genius. It occurred to me yesterday on hearing the sad news of Jobs' passing, that he and Gates gave a gift to those of us who are older, retired, RVers especially who have Macs or PCs (I have both) in that we can explore the universe of ideas on the 'net, write, publish, transcribe, store stuff, and touch the world in photo and text. Just look at the talent on this forum, blogs, photography, all sorts of advice and expertise. Our own little niche in the cosmos is virtually in a little box with a screen and humongous power to communicate with each other. My Macbook allows me to do my writing, and the Toshiba, my transcription work that is now my living. In Gratitude: Steve Jobs, may the angels carry you gently and the earth rest lightly.

Humans are an interesting species. It amazes me that there are those among us who see the world differently and look to what the future can be. They stretch their vision and make it happen and the many of the rest of us benefit from their thinking. Steve Jobs was one of these may he rest in peace.

That Stanford Commencement address found us at the perfect time during the initial pondering of our re-invention. Many other quotes and life lessons have encouraged us but that one made us start the process. I can only add...
If nothing else, Steve Jobs was a man with a vision, one that contributed greatly to a lot of lives. We can all consider ourselves to be blessed with his vision, even if we don't own an Apple or I-whatever.
May God give comfort to his family.
