We just bought our first RV 3 weeks ago so far traveled from Ft Myers Fl to Atlanta and then to Dallas we leave tomorrow for Chattanooga. Its great but so far we have not met anyone so we really don't know what we are doing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We have a class A 2000 Georgie boy 36 feet long it has a Cummins turbo diesel on a freightliner chassie. We are full time cruisers and planning on going to Florida the middle of Oct
We look forward meeting people on our new adventure

Hi and welcome to the forum. We are new to RVing also. The first time out we headed to Florida for the winter last year. We live in S. Illinois. We also travel with 2 dogs and 1 cat. It was like the 3 stooges when we first set up. If it were not for my sis-in-law we would never have been able to get our awning out.
It was so much fun. I hope you have a wonderful time. I know we did.

Hi, Bigdog :) We bought our new 5th Wheel last year and took off without knowing much of anything. Went to visit kids in Kentucky and both hit our heads on the slides, ending up in the local ER with the same Dr. on two separate visits! Charlie had to have a CAT scan and I had to have a staple put in!! My daughter said in a text, "Mom, those people are going to think y'all are smacking eachother!" What a hoot! We are learning as we go. Hope you have as much fun as we do. Pat K

Put some swim noodles on those slides! Just slice them part way through so they can be slid onto the bottom of the slide and protect you from those sharp corners. Just don't forget to remove them before retracting the slide.
