We are wanting to snowbird, this winter if we can, we have a 2004 keystone Laredo 5th wheel , it has an enclosed bottom but only single pane windows. We are looking at south Texas for this year. tell me if this is good or if it is a bad plan.
South Dakota can be cold.

Wintering in South Texas sounds a whole lot better to me than South Dakota. There are many people that do exactly as you are proposing, some in a lot less trailer than what you are asking about. I guess it depends on how bad you want to get out of the snow and what your finances will allow. Go for it, if you dont like it you can always go back to SD.

You should be fine. If you have problems w/ the single pane windows you can always add a layer of window cling plastic on the exterior of the windows. We did that and I was impressed w/ how well it worked and how hard it was to see it. Also, as long as you have electricity you can add an electric space heater.
