So how did you get ride of all the stuff? We don't plan to full-time forever, but at least several years, so I guess we will put some furniture and a few treasured things in storage. But what about all the rest? ebay? Craig's lis? Yard Sale (I HATE yared sales...). I've been dumping as mcuh as I can on my daughter, but she doesn't want all of it. I'd love to hear you stories.

Selling to relatives, Craig's List, one garage sale where the whole neighborhood was participating, and giving away to individuals and to charity. Some of our furniture belonged to parents and grandparents, so my sister picked up most of that.
My mother was a self taught artist and I had a bunch of her paintings in our house. My sister now has them all and all we have are some small ones on the walls of our Mobile Suites. Those were the hardest things for me to give up.
Good luck with your process of downsizing. Believe it or not, getting rid of stuff is liberating.

We gave to our kids what they wanted then had a few garage sales and donated to the disabled veterans. We put a few items in storage but soon figured it would cost more to pay storage than to replace. The hardest were Linda's antique's but we figured we could always find more if we ever settled and got off the road.We are now coming off the road full time and bought a condo but she says now that she is over having stuff and is plenty happy with what we have.
