We have been fulltime for a year now and need an oil change on the dp. How do you decide where to go? Is there a service directory online? Do you just look up the closest rv sales and service? Have you found a favorite and make a plan to be there when it is time? Any advice appreciated.

Bought our coach new, so we return to the dealer to have the annuals done on the coach. I trust them to work on my coach. But if we weren't able to return I would find a dealer who is Monaco/Cummings approved. We invested a lot of money in our coach and I would not feel comfortable allowing strangers to work on the engine or chassis. If they are Monaco and Cummings approved then I would be okay with letting them work on it. I want to ensure the warranty is not voided by allowing non-approved sources work on my coach.

There is an online RV Service rating. I have found it to be somewhat useful. Go to http://rvservicereviews.com/ and you can get a good idea of those to avoid. Be sure to look at all the reviews and make a determination based on an average. There will always be someone that is disgruntled and someone that is overjoyed. Just take an average.
Quite often, an RV Park will have a list of on-site service providers. Check in the office for a card. I tried it once and got a card for a wash job. Man, I was pleased with the work and price. I have watched oil change providers come to parks and change fluids. They were very clean and seemed to do a good job.
Depending on where you are, I have heard others talk about going to a diesel shop for work. Some good reports, others not so good.
