Following a lead by a previous post in this section, Dave and I are near Bloomsbury, NJ and have a parking lot available for overnight boondocking if you need a place to stop. Near I-78, easy access, plenty of room for big rigs.
Send me a PM if you need a safe place to park for the night.
Feel free to add to this thread if you can provide a spot for others!
Cheers,
Betty

Great idea!!! We have a spot for an RV (50/30 amp, sewer, water) for an overnighter. If you are going to be near Lubbock, TX, gimme a PM and we can get it set up.

We went to Cabella's in Olympia, WA the other day and saw that they have an RV parking area on the side complete with a dump station. I don't know if other Cabella's do this or not, but we thought it was pretty cool!

That Cabela's in Lacey (Olympia) doesn't allow overnight parking since Lacey would not allow it. There are signs. But since the Wal-Mart across I-5 has allowed overnight parking for years, Lacey lets them continue to allow it. (I was told there is no ordinance about this, the city government wouldn't allow Cabela's to open without agreeing to not allow overnight parking.)

The Cabela's in Sidney NE has a camping area. It's not free, it's $30/night for full hookups, less for electric only.

Great post! After staying with the kids in their back garage driveway this summer(no 50 or 30 amp and packing up every couple weeks to head to the sewer) I am thinking we should build one too. That leads back to more "stuff" though so NOT yet. We had a good experience(was too short though) for our first Texas trip this spring. May take you up on that spot Ken and Fran.

I have been told unless otherwise dictated by local ordinances Cabela will allow overnight camping, just have to ask and follows etiquette.

I am interested in safe parking off I-78 on Saturday, October 20th. We have a 36 foot motorhome with a trailer. Our overall length is 58 feet. Where is this located?

Maybe first start off with an introduction on the Introduction page of RV Dreams, then send an introduction of yourself in a PM to Betty....
