Just wanted to let y'all know that I've just listed this truck camper for sale under Classified. I realize that most of you are either full-timers, wanna-be's, gonna-be's, etc. but thought this might grab someone's interest. We've really enjoyed this camper and it would be great for those Alaskan trips everyone wants to make. We lived in Anchorage for 12 years, so I totally understand the interest in making that trip. We hope to do it again someday!
I also wanted to let all know that we FINALLY sold our log home in Alabama after 2+ years. Didn't have to take a loss either !! What a wonderful feeling to be debt free!! We always thought we would become full-timers, but after lots of serious discussions we decided we still need a home of some sort. We moved a month ago into a new, gated apartment complex and will travel from here. Since we already spend 5-6 months in the FL Keys, we were already "part-time full-timers" and now will become "3/4 timers" as our plan is to travel 3-4 months during the summer. Probably won't make that goal this summer due to moving, but next summer we plan to head West.
The best part of all of this is WE'RE FREE!!!

Congrats on the sale of the SnB, looks as though you are all set.
I'm guessing you may be a Dave Ransey fan, "DEBT FREE".

Thanks, Ron, Sharon & Molly.
I didn't read Dave's book The Total Money Makeover until after we had sold our home. We had already paid off all debts but it was still a very informative and worthwhile book that everyone should read. It is truly a wonderful feeling to be debt free and able to live our lives as we want. Being able to continue to spend winters in the Keys, which is definitely expensive, was well worth selling our home. Plus no more lawn & garden work, no more expenses of keeping up a home, no property tax, etc, etc.

We're almost there, just the 5ver to pay off. We could pay it down with the proceeds from the sell of the Snb but for now we are saving that for our emergency fund. We took the Ramsey class and we are still in the "Baby Steps"mode.
I was just told that a new Polaris Rzr does not fall anywhere near an emergency catagory.
